Grameenphone Internet Handset Configuration Settings (Android, Iphone & All Device)

You Need to Internet Handset configure EDGE settings on your handset in order to enjoy services like Grameenphone INTERNET, WAP & MMS.

 Specific GP  INTERNET settings for various mobile platforms below
if we want to browse net connect we need may configuration for our mobile. Some time we cannot set configuration Automatically it creates problem thats why we need configuration seatings .
All seatings are given bellow

Automatically Configuration:

Type ALL send To 8080

 
WAP Setting:
type <wap> space <handset name> space <handset model> and send to–>8080
example: wap nokia 3220 and send–>8080

MMS Setting: 
type <mms> space <handset name> space <handset model> and send to–>8080
example: mms nokia N70 and send–>8080

INTERNET Setting: 
type <internet> space <handset name> space <handset model> and send to–>8080
example: internet nokia N90 and send–>8080

Manually Configuration:

GP WAP Setting:
Connection/Profile: GP-WAP
APN(Access Point Name): gpwap
IP: 010.128.001.002
Port: 8080
homepage: http://wap.gpworld.com

GP MMS Setting: 
Connection/Profile: GP-MMS
APN(Access Point Name): gpmms
IP: 010.128.001.002
Port: 8080
homepage: http://mms.gpsurf.net/servlets/mms

GP INTERNET Setting:
Connection/Profile: GP-INTERNET
APN(Access Point Name): gpinternet
IP: 010.128.001.002
Port: 8080
homepage: http://gpworld.com


FOR Android Devices

Internet:

In Settings
 > Wireless & Networks
> Mobile Networks> Access Point Names

Add a new APN:
Name: GP Internet
APN: gpinternet

MMS:

In same menu add another APN named gpmms
MMSC: http://mmsc.grameenphone.com/servlets/mms
Proxy: N/A
Type: MMS

iPhone

Internet:

In Settings
 > General
   > Network
    > Cellular data network

put APN: gpinternet

MMS:

In the same menu put:
APN: gpmms
MMSC: http://mmsc.grameenphone.com/servlets/mms
MMS proxy: N/A


iPad

Internet:

From main screen of iPad press:
 > Settings   > Celular Data (make Cellular Data ON)  > APN Settings
> Put gpinternet in APN field
> Leave User Name and Password Blank

Internet:

In Settings
 > Wireless & Networks
> Mobile Networks
  > Access Point Names

Add a new APN:
Name: gpinternet

MMS:

In same menu add another APN named gpmms
MMSC: http://mmsc.grameenphone.com/servlets/mms
Proxy: N/A
Type: MMS

Internet:

In Settings
 > Access Point
> Add a New Profile
Connection Name: GP-INTERNET
Access Point Name: gpinternet

MMS:

In same profile, fill up below information:
MMS Access Point Name: gpmms
Proxy address: N/A
Proxy Port: N/A
MMSC: http://mmsc.grameenphone.com/servlets/mms

Symbian Devices (Internet settings)
Step by step visual Guideline for Symbian Devices:
1) Go To: Menu
2) Click Settings
3) Click on Settings

4) Go To Connection
5) Click Destinations 
6) Select: Access Point

7) Input: GP-INTERNET
8) Select:  Internet
9) Input:  gpinternet as
Access Point Name
Leave other fields as Is.
Press “Back” to exit the settings

10) Click on Destinations 
11) Select: Access Point
12) Input: GP-MMS


13) Select: Multimedia Message
14) Input: gpmms as Access Point Name

Leave other fields As Is.
Press “Back” to exit the settings
Congratulations!
You have successfully configured GP Internet and MMS settings
for your Symbian device. 
 You can get the settings over the air by the following options or manual settings given below:

SMS: Write ‘All’ and send to 8080, USSD: Dial *500*50#, Hotline: Call 121 and request customer manager for handset settings
Or you can manually configure by checking the Visual Guide.
