GP Employees Union win Best Organizing Award

Grameenphone(GP)Employees union won the Best Organizing
Award from UNI Global Professional & Managers’ group for achieving
union growth & advancing members’ right.
 

This was declared
at a seminar held (March 9- March 11, 2015) in Istanbul, Turkey arranged
by UNI professional & Managers’ Group.

Grameephone
Employees union was formed in 2012 in protest of illegal job cut by
Grameenphone management. Although this Unions’ application for
registration is pending in court, union leaders are struggling to
establish its members’ right & have achieved many of their targets
till now.

In 2013, Grameenphone Employees Union received another international award – UNI Global Freedom From Fear- 2013.
